Director of Training and Social Media
Brittany has completely redesigned the orientations and training programs for several child and family based organizations. She is experienced in bringing the importance and utility of cultural competency, trauma informed care, organizational values, and strengths-based care to new and continuing direct care staff members and volunteers. Currently, she is focused on making entry level wraparound training materials that are accessible to everyone, and expanding our online presence.
Brittany has over 10 years of training and teaching experience in a variety of settings. From children with developmental delays to executive boardrooms, there is no group she cannot create rapport with. As the Director of Training at Vroon VDB, Brittany develops new trainings, updates existing trainings, and a little bit of everything else. While completing her Master of Arts in Anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh, Brittany designed and taught several courses focusing on the importance of culture to every aspect of our lives. She majored in Sociology and Women’s Studies at Agnes Scott College. During this time, she interned at the Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence, the Centers for Disease Control, and the Atlanta Girls School. These experiences helped her develop her talents for explaining complex ideas in a fun and accessible way, as well as increased her understanding of how deeply our ingrained beliefs affect our daily lives.
When she isn’t working, Brittany loves being outdoors with her family. She lives with her husband, their son, and their dog in beautiful Colorado.
