Jon Eagle
Trainer Coach
Jon Eagle is Hunkpapa Lakota and currently resides on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota, where he runs and operates the Painted Eagle Ranch with his wife and family. Together, they raise and train American Paint and Quarter Horses.

Mr. Eagle has more than 20 years' experience in human services working with children, families and communities, and has served on numerous tribal, state and national advisory boards. Jon has consulted with agencies including, Child Protection Services, Mental Health, Behavioral Health, Suicide Prevention Coalitions, Residential Treatment Staff and Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drug Prevention Coalitions. He is considered an expert on the wraparound process, systems of care, leadership and cultural competence. Mr. Eagle has done numerous trainings and workshops at the local, state and national levels, and in Canada.
In 2007, the governor of North Dakota appointed Jon Eagle to the North Dakota State Vocational Rehabilitation Council and, in 2009, appointed him to the North Dakota Statewide Independent Living Council. He is currently a member of the consultant pool for the National Cultural Competence Center, Center for Child and Human Development, Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., and serves on several advisory boards at Sitting Bull College, Fort Yates, N.D. He has known and worked with Drs. VanDenBerg and Rast for more than 13 years and is currently managing VVDB tribal work in Montana.
