Foundations of High Fidelity Wraparound Facilitator and Support Partner Training

TBA

Greater Denver Area, Colorado

Over the last 15 years, VVDB has been training and working with wraparound staff across North America.  While teaching over 2000 certified staff, leading over 500 trainings, and conducting long term coaching in more than 100 sites, VVDB has developed new strategies for doing and training wraparound.  Based on this experience, VVDB has developed a Foundations of Wraparound Workshop and Manual (2014) that has more than twice as much information as the 2013 version. We present many new strategies for staff to use to produce high fidelity wraparound and create success with families.  The new training focuses uses a hands on, multi modal style of teaching to make sure students retain as much information as possible. Every part of the curriculm has been expanded, but particularly the section on implementation. This section has more than 4 times the material of the original book and introduces new concepts such as purposeful transition, transition assets and the culture of support which have been shown to lead to faster success in wraparound and much better long term sustainability for families.

Supervisor Training

TBD

Red Rocks, Colorado (near Denver)

Cost: $750

In 1999, John VanDenBerg and Jim Rast offered their first supervisory workshop in Pittsburg, PA.  Now, with over 15 more years of learning about supervising staff to provide wraparound, a totally updated version of the supervisor’s workshop is being offered.  Based on a new textbook (2104) and completely revised training curriculum, this workshop is for wraparound supervisors and for other system of care supervisors.  The focus is on providing good supervision within the context of a system of care. During the workshop, we define the functions and roles of supervisors, explore how they can support staff in continual innovation and improved performance, detail specific strategies for supervising effectively and efficiently, teach supervisors to be certifiers, and help supervisors build and support their agencies learning culture.
