Michele Stewart-Copes

Michele is a skilled trainer, consultant, therapist, and seminar specialist.  She has worked with children, adolescents and adults, addressing a variety of social, human development, and curriculum needs.  She is a recognized resource for many groups, agencies, and companies nationally, utilizing her expertise in staff development, strategic planning, teaching and community organization.

She obtained her Master's Degree in Social Work (Case Work/Group Work) from the University of Connecticut in 1988, her Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling from the Central Connecticut State University in 1980, and her Connecticut State Teacher Certification from the Central Connecticut State University in 1976.  Michele has 22 years of social service, human relations, curriculum development and planning experience.  Her knowledge of development and deliverance of seminars spans over fifty topics to community groups, agencies, and corporations.

Michele was the Co-Author of Sexuality and Parenting Curriculum For Young Minority Fathers and is the founder and co-chair of POWER, Parenting Organizations Working to Enhance Resources:  a statewide network of 37 organizations.  She is a recognized consultant in adolescent sexuality and the wraparound process, appearing on local television talk shows and speaking at statewide and national conferences.

She currently resides in Connecticut while working for VVDB and is the President of SEET Consultants (System for Education Equity & Transition).
