We are officially opening enrollment for our August 15-17, 2022 MiiWrap Coaching Workshop at beautiful Red Rocks, Colorado.
To put it bluntly, people rarely do things they don’t see the personal value in doing. If they do things they don’t want to because they are required to do them, they stop as soon as they can.
We are starting our MiiWrap Learning Community Mini-Conference series to help our coaches share ideas, create bonds, and support each other in helping their staff offer the best possible MiiWrap.
A person had to chop down a large area of trees with a dull axe. He was asked “is the time spent sharpening the axe worth the effort over time?” With a growing number of families facing great difficulties, I know that learning and certification of MiiWrap is truly worth the time and effort. – David Duresky
Deeper, more flexible skills are best developed by engaging directly with other, more knowledgeable people. If you are trying to learn something complicated, that has to be customized, that requires you to think differently (like MiiWrap), then you need a real person to talk it through with.
Debriefing is a skillset. This is why we have created Coach Debrief Guides for each of our Foundations Modules. They lay out exactly what needs to happen and in what order. The coach just needs to enter the specific learner information for each section, and then follow the guide when debriefing.
A core obligation of any coach is to make sure that their learners are really learning. That doesn’t just happen – you need a plan that involves collecting real evidence. See our plan to understand what we mean.
